Russell’s practice focuses on patent drafting and prosecution, infringement and invalidity studies, and client counseling. His expertise spans a number of technology areas including biotechnology, biomaterials, biologics, pharmaceuticals, medical treatment and diagnostics, and medical devices.
Prior to joining Cesari and McKenna, Russell was a Technology Specialist and Patent Agent at Occhiuti, Rohlicek & Tsao, LLP. Russell has also held a number of academic research appointments in Boston and New York, including Research Fellow in Cardiology at Harvard Medical School and Assistant Professor of Medicine and Biochemistry at Boston University School of Medicine. He has research experience in the broad areas of bacteriology, cardiology and rheumatology, and received funding from the Scleroderma Foundation, the Arthritis Foundation, and the National Institutes of Health.
