Martin is a partner of Cesari and McKenna. His practice focuses on strategic development of large patent portfolios, IP landscape analysis, patent strategy, patent prosecution (including US, PCT and foreign patent filings), freedom-to-operate and patentability analysis and opinions, and general patent counseling and planning.
Prior to joining Cesari & McKenna, Martin was senior patent counsel at International Flavors & Fragrances, a Fortune 500 chemical company, and an associate at multiple Boston area intellectual property law firms. Before his career as an attorney, Martin was a drug discovery researcher at Pfizer for over a decade. There he gained extensive hands-on experience with small molecule synthesis, combinatorial chemistry, active pharmaceutical ingredients, and pharmaceutical formulations.

pharmaceuticals, material sciences, food sciences, consumer products, and cosmetics.
