Charles J. Barbas
Charles J. Barbas directs his practice to client counseling in intellectual property protection, including patent prosecution in countries around the globe, patent infringement and enforcement matters, as well as patent portfolio management. Specifically, Mr. Barbas focuses his practice on patent prosecution in the U.S. and foreign countries, patent infringement and validity investigations and opinions, and inter partes and ex parte reexamination proceedings. Mr. Barbas also works with clients to protect and enforce their patent properties in appeal proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
Mr. Barbas has extensive experience with various areas of technology, including high performance computer system architectures (e.g., processors, operating systems, memory subsystems, and input/output subsystems); communication network architectures (e.g., computer networks, routers, router operating systems, switches, network protocol stacks, and network protocols); and data storage architectures (e.g., storage area networks, network attached storage systems, storage appliances, storage operating systems, file systems, and data storage protocols).
