Arne Hans is a patent attorney with the firm. His practice involves all facets of intellectual property in the United States and worldwide with a focus on patent prosecution, proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, and litigation matters.
He works in a wide range of technological fields including computer networks, data storage systems, visual and graphical computer programming systems, software-based inventions, GPS technology, antennas, medical devices and systems, mechanical tools, and consumer products.
Before joining Cesari and McKenna, Arne held an academic research appointment at Harvard Medical School for 11 years. During this time, he conducted research in medical computer science and medical imaging in the radiology departments of Brigham and Women's Hospital and Boston Children's Hospital. He is the co-author of more than ten peer-reviewed scientific publications.
Arne graduated first in his class from New England Law Boston and was the valedictorian for the evening division.
Arne is an active member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary.
